We know that climate change is affecting people in poverty the most, although they’ve contributed the least. We know that cash transfers can play a critical role in helping people living in poverty cope and adapt.

Golam Rabbani is a climate change specialist with over 22 years of experience in adaptation and loss and damage. He has led and contributed to early L&D and adaptation assessments and helped shape Bangladesh’s National Adaptation Programmes of Action, the adaptation chapter of the Third National Communication, and the National Adaptation Plan. He currently serves as Associate Director at the Climate Hub, BRAC and BRAC International, supporting the design, implementation and monitoring of urban projects for climate migrants and vulnerable groups.
