He is a Senior Lecturer and Chair of the Department of Disaster Management and Sustainable Development at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Kenya. He is a former member of the Africa Science and Technology Advisory Group for DRR, the founder and Co-Chair of the Climate Mobility Africa Research Network, and a member of the Platform on Disaster Displacement’s Advisory Committee.
