GiveDirectly (GD) aims to reshape international giving – and millions of lives – by providing cash grants directly to the world’s poorest. GD has raised over $1B since launching in 2011, and delivered cash to more than 1.6 million people in 15 different countries. We’ve also supported large-scale, experimental research that indicates strong recipient impact of our programs. We know that climate change is affecting people in poverty the most, although they’ve contributed the least. We know that cash transfers can play a critical role in helping people living in poverty cope and adapt.

GCRI's expertise spans risk assessment, data-driven early warning systems, and resilience-building. Utilizing AI, blockchain, and IoT, GCRI provides technical assistance for disaster risk reduction, capacity building, and the development of innovative financing mechanisms, ensuring alignment with the Santiago network’s objectives to mitigate climate impacts in vulnerable regions.

The Global Network of Civil Society Organisations for Disaster Reduction (GNDR) is the largest international network of CSOs working to strengthen resilience and reduce risk in communities worldwide. They support the interface between civil society organizations at the frontline and local, national and international policymaking institutions and governance structures. GNDR works with local actors for a better understanding of their environment and the identification of key actions to mitigate their exposure.

The Institute for Study and Development Worldwide (IFSD) is a research and consultancy firm committed to catalysing inclusive and climate-resilient development in the Global South, focusing on Asia and the Pacific. Through action research, knowledge co-production, and capacity building, IFSD supports local communities and governments in enhancing long-term resilience, grounded in climate justice, gender equality, and social inclusion. IFSD’s work aligns with the Santiago Network, in providing technical expertise, facilitating knowledge exchange, and advancing context-specific capacity-building to address climate-induced loss and damage.

The Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) is the authoritative source of data and analysis on internal displacement due to disasters and conflict globally. Since its establishment in 1998 as part of the Norwegian Refugee Council, it has offered a rigorous, independent and trusted service to the international community. Its work informs policy and operational decisions that improve the lives of the millions of people living in internal displacement or at risk of becoming displaced in the future.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) is a Network of 191 Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies. These societies act as auxiliary to their public authorities, mandated through international and domestic laws, to support their government in reducing and managing disaster risk, including climate-related risks. IFRC takes action to avert, minimize and address loss and damage. Their support includes advice to public authorities in the development and implementation of effective legal and policy frameworks on disaster and climate risk governance to locally led climate action from early warning, early/anticipatory action to longer term resilience.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is committed to ensuring that migration is humane and orderly, benefiting migrants and societies. With extensive experience in addressing climate-induced displacement, through data collection, policy development and community-based interventions, IOM's work directly contributes to the Santiago network's mission of averting, minimizing, and addressing loss and damage associated with climate change impacts, making the organization a valuable partner for climate vulnerable countries.
