The Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) is the authoritative source of data and analysis on internal displacement due to disasters and conflict globally. Since its establishment in 1998 as part of the Norwegian Refugee Council, it has offered a rigorous, independent and trusted service to the international community. Its work informs policy and operational decisions that improve the lives of the millions of people living in internal displacement or at risk of becoming displaced in the future.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) is a Network of 191 Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies. These societies act as auxiliary to their public authorities, mandated through international and domestic laws, to support their government in reducing and managing disaster risk, including climate-related risks. IFRC takes action to avert, minimize and address loss and damage. Their support includes advice to public authorities in the development and implementation of effective legal and policy frameworks on disaster and climate risk governance to locally led climate action from early warning, early/anticipatory action to longer term resilience.

International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) works to build fair, inclusive and climate resilient futures by partnering with communities and governments to develop practical, locally led solutions. Through ALL ACT, we work with local partners to assess loss and damage, strengthen early action systems, and develop solutions rooted in people’s lived experience. Our mission supports the Santiago Network by offering tools, evidence and collaborative approaches that help countries turn climate risks into actionable plans for protection and resilience.

The International Institute for Sustainable Development is an independent think tank which hosts the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) Global Network. The NAP Global Network supports developing countries to advance NAP processes and accelerate climate change adaptation efforts. By facilitating collaboration, sharing knowledge, building capacity, and providing demand-driven technical assistance, IISD helps enhance countries’ adaptive capacity to minimize, avert, and address climate-related loss and damage.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is committed to ensuring that migration is humane and orderly, benefiting migrants and societies. With extensive experience in addressing climate-induced displacement, through data collection, policy development and community-based interventions, IOM's work directly contributes to the Santiago network's mission of averting, minimizing, and addressing loss and damage associated with climate change impacts, making the organization a valuable partner for climate vulnerable countries.

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the UN specialized agency for information and communication technologies. ITU allocates global radio spectrum and satellite orbits, develops technical standards that ensure networks and technologies connect seamlessly, and works to improve access to digital technologies in underserved communities worldwide. ITU works to bring digital connectivity to everyone, providing a trusted, multilateral platform to broker international agreements and standards, share knowledge, build capacity, and work with members and partners to spread access to technology around the world.

Dr Kelly Dorkenoo is a climate change and development expert. Her research centres on loss and damage with an emphasis on land and land-based resources in rural communities across Asia. She develops methodologies for and conducts assessments of economic and non-economic loss and damage. She also supports stakeholder engagement and capacity-building to access climate finance and technical assistance. Working at the science-policy interface, Kelly is passionate about advancing land rights and climate justice and believes that addressing loss and damage can catalyse transformative shifts in climate governance.

The LAC Women’s Network for DRR, created in 2021, brings together around 1,500 women professionals and volunteers in DRR across Latin America and the Caribbean. Its mission is to foster an inclusive and collaborative space where women in all their diversity can share experiences and generate innovative solutions for DRR. With a gender-intersectional approach, the Network amplifies women’s leadership across the region to influence policies and decision-making, and practices.

Laurice P. Jamero is Senior Scientist for Resilience at the Manila Observatory’s Klima Center, championing inclusive and just adaptation. She also manages the WCRP Academy Support Unit, promoting climate science training among early-career researchers especially from the Global South. Her main research interest is on adaptation and addressing loss and damage from sea level rise in the context of small islands and coastal cities. She has also been selected to serve as a Lead Author for Chapter 1 (Point of departure, framing and key concepts) of WG II's contribution to IPCC AR7.
