The Global Network of Civil Society Organisations for Disaster Reduction (GNDR) is the largest international network of CSOs working to strengthen resilience and reduce risk in communities worldwide. They support the interface between civil society organizations at the frontline and local, national and international policymaking institutions and governance structures. GNDR works with local actors for a better understanding of their environment and the identification of key actions to mitigate their exposure.

The Global Shield against Climate Risks is committed to increasing and improving access to pre-arranged finance, enabling countries to effectively respond to climate-related risks and loss and damage while strengthening financial protection for vulnerable communities. Their work provides technical assistance to support developing countries in designing and implementing pre-arranged finance solutions. Through collaboration with partners at local, national, and regional levels, the Global Shield helps avert, minimize, and address loss and damage associated with climate change more effectively.

Golam Rabbani is a climate change specialist with over 22 years of experience in adaptation and loss and damage. He has led and contributed to early L&D and adaptation assessments and helped shape Bangladesh’s National Adaptation Programmes of Action, the adaptation chapter of the Third National Communication, and the National Adaptation Plan. He currently serves as Associate Director at the Climate Hub, BRAC and BRAC International, supporting the design, implementation and monitoring of urban projects for climate migrants and vulnerable groups.

IFSD’s work aligns with the Santiago Network, in providing technical expertise, facilitating knowledge exchange, and advancing context-specific capacity-building to address climate-induced loss and damage.

The Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) is the authoritative source of data and analysis on internal displacement due to disasters and conflict globally. Since its establishment in 1998 as part of the Norwegian Refugee Council, it has offered a rigorous, independent and trusted service to the international community. Its work informs policy and operational decisions that improve the lives of the millions of people living in internal displacement or at risk of becoming displaced in the future.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) is a Network of 191 Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies. These societies act as auxiliary to their public authorities, mandated through international and domestic laws, to support their government in reducing and managing disaster risk, including climate-related risks. IFRC takes action to avert, minimize and address loss and damage. Their support includes advice to public authorities in the development and implementation of effective legal and policy frameworks on disaster and climate risk governance to locally led climate action from early warning, early/anticipatory action to longer term resilience.
