With extensive experience in addressing climate-induced displacement, through data collection, policy development and community-based interventions, IOM's work directly contributes to the Santiago network's mission of averting, minimizing, and addressing loss and damage associated with climate change impacts, making the organization a valuable partner for climate vulnerable countries.

ITU allocates global radio spectrum and satellite orbits, develops technical standards that ensure networks and technologies connect seamlessly, and works to improve access to digital technologies in underserved communities worldwide. ITU works to bring digital connectivity to everyone, providing a trusted, multilateral platform to broker international agreements and standards, share knowledge, build capacity, and work with members and partners to spread access to technology around the world.

The International Youth Council Yemen (IYCY) is a youth-led non-profit delivering humanitarian and sustainable development support to vulnerable communities across Yemen. Since 2014, it has reached more than 1.9 million people through science-based programmes spanning health, nutrition, water, food security, livelihoods, and environmental conservation. IYCY brings practical experience operating in fragile, climate-vulnerable settings, with a focus on community-level adaptation and resilience building. As an accredited observer to the UNFCCC and related environmental conventions, it helps connect global climate processes with locally grounded implementation and learning.

The Iraq Climate Change Center (IC3+) is a national institution focused on climate policy, adaptation planning, and climate risk analysis in Iraq. The Center contributes to national-level climate assessments, technical advisory work, and stakeholder coordination on climate resilience and loss and damage. Its activities include supporting climate mainstreaming, conducting assessments, and engaging public institutions in climate governance processes.

James Thonjo is a climate policy expert with extensive experience in loss and damage under the UNFCCC framework. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Warsaw International Mechanism and as an Enhanced Transparency Framework technical expert reviewer. He has led Kenya’s integration of loss and damage into its NDC and Biennial Transparency Reports and has supported both technical assistance and climate finance processes at the national level. His work spans national planning, climate finance, and community resilience building.

Joel Persson is an interdisciplinary researcher focusing on co-creating participatory methodologies to assess and monitor loss and damage and engaging in multi-stakeholder processes that advance more inclusive policy solutions. He has over eight years of research experience in natural resource governance, climate change, and rural livelihoods, employing a range of methods to holistically measure and craft measures to address (non-)economic loss and damage in rural communities.

Jutta May is an Information and Knowledge Management Specialist with over 30 years of experience, including 20 years in the Pacific region. Her work supports the design, development, and management of data and information systems for disaster risk reduction and climate change. This includes research, data governance, needs analysis, co-design, strategy and policy advice, metadata, capacity development, and project management to optimize the use of data, information, and collections. Jutta holds a Master of Information Studies with Knowledge Management Specialisation, based in Australia.

Her expertise strengthens the Santiago Network’s role in providing effective, context-specific technical assistance to countries facing loss and damage.
